You can reach the island by car via Highway 6 south from Espanola. Espanola is 5 kms south of Highway 17, 70 km West of Sudbury, and 240 km East of Sault Ste. Marie.

Little Current, the first town on the island, is approximately 60 km from Espanola.

Direct flights to Manitoulin Island

In the summer months (May to October), the Chi-Cheemaun ferry operates between Tobermory and South Baymouth.
